Butterfly Pea Flower Herbal Tea

Butterfly pea flower tea is a brilliant blue caffeine-free herbal drink, made by steeping the bright blue flowers of the Clitoria ternatea plant in hot water.  The tea is often served with lemon or lemongrass and honey and makes an excellent iced tea.

Widely used in Thailand and Vietnam for its traditional health benefits, this flower tea is becoming more common  in Western cultures.  The flowers contain antioxidants called anthocyanins, which are also found in blueberries, elderberries, and cranberries.
